Premier Squarespace Designer Award

Hi friends! It’s an absolute honor to share that I’ve been listed among some super talented Squarespace designers for the 2020 Premier Squarespace Web Designer Award.

After 3+ years of designing websites specifically in Squarespace, I’ve come to know the ins and outs of the Squarespace platform like the back of my hand (ok, maybe not EXACTLY like the back of my hand ;) but you get the idea…)

But you know what I’m the most stoked about?

I am crazy giddy about the fact that I have spent the last few years looking up to so many amazing designers on this list. They are some of the biggest and BEST the Squarespace world has to offer, hands down. And to be featured on this list right alongside them feels like a dream - no joke.

So, in light of my excitement about this today, I have 3 things that I want to encourage you in...

1. Niche down, even when it feels scary.

A few years ago, I felt like I was trying to stand out in a crowded sea of competition… practically screaming as loud as I could for people to “look at me!”... but I didn’t realize then that there was a better way. It wasn’t until I began to niche down and become known as an expert in SOMETHING (anything really!), that I began to stand out without having to really try. I could finally stop shouting and start working more with dream clients who were finding me.

2. Be ok with being the ‘new kid on the block’.

When I first got into website design, I was learning the ropes… but all the gurus and influencers that I followed were telling me to face “imposter syndrome” head on and “charge my worth”. GUYS. While I totally believe that imposter syndrome should be kicked to the curb, I also believe in starting small and relying on that slow, steady, and POWERFUL growth to get you to where you want to be in business.

Sometimes “charging your worth” means charging less than what others are charging while you build up your portfolio and testimonials. Sometimes “ditching imposter syndrome” looks like realizing that you CAN and WILL become the best in your industry… while fully realizing that you’re not there YET. And that’s OK.

Let me repeat that. That’s OK.

3. Keep going, even when it feels like you’re ready to throw in the towel.

Haha! I say that kind of jokingly… but no kidding, there are times (maybe even every few weeks LOL) where I think to myself or say to my husband… “maybe I should just close it all down and just be a stay at home mom”. Because if we’re being really honest, running a business is HARD work. It’s full of ups and downs. It’s full of tears, and stressful nights… but it’s also full of crazy joy and freedom.

But what I know for sure, is that if I would have listened to that voice of FEAR or OVERWHELM, I would have never gotten to where I am at now. I would never have been featured on this list of amazing designers. I would have NEVER been able to help THOUSANDS of women entrepreneurs who need my support to show up BIGGER and BOLDER online. And that’s what I’m here for.

I want you to show up bigger, bolder, and more confidently than you ever have online. I want you to have an online presence that GETS YOU RESULTS for your business. And I want you to use your passion and your purpose to inspire, influence, and TRANSFORM those around you - those whose lives you’re meant to change forever.
