How to combat limiting beliefs in business

Are you limiting yourself from reaching the next level in your business?

Do you ever say or think any of the following...

“Hopefully I can hit my goals this month.”
“I’m just not sure if that’s possible for me.”
“I wish I could achieve _____.”
“Maybe one day I can _____.”

The list of LIMITING phrases go on and on!

f you are thinking any of these things, the truth is that you have already laid out the success you THINK you are capable of in your mind! You are already settling into the worth you’ve assigned to yourself.

When you are feeding your mind with these thoughts, you are already saying “this probably isn’t possible for me, so I might as well not try as hard.”

AND IF YOU DON’T TRY AS HARD, YOU DON’T HAVE TO FEEL AS BAD ABOUT FAILING IF YOU FALL SHORT!

Here’s the thing…

YOU TOTALLY CAN SUCCEED AT ANY AND ALL OF THESE THINGS! Yep, I said it. ANYTHING is possible for you!

Wait, what’s that?

Is that your mind saying “yeah right, she doesn’t know me. She doesn’t know my qualifications. She doesn’t know my situation. She doesn’t know that I really don’t have training I need to start and run a business. She doesn’t know that I am learning as I go. She doesn’t know that I feel like an imposter. She doesn’t know………..”

GIRL. STOP.

You know that every single one of us has had to take the "learn as you go" approach?

You know that every single one of us started at the bottom?

You know that every single one of us has had NO CLUE about something in our business at one point?

Yep… it’s true. We’re all imposters to some extent.

So what do you do when you want to break the cycle of limiting beliefs you’ve been believing for so long?

1. Speak truth over yourself.

Start to journal every morning about your TRUE value and worth. Write out your strengths. Write out what you have learned recently. Write affirmations like “I am capable of achieving HUGE things today”, or “I believe that big things are possible for me”.

2. Stop letting doubt into your thought life.

When you hear yourself say “maybe” or “hopefully” or “possibly”… put it aside and commit to achieving the next thing! Yeah, MAYBE everything won’t work out exactly like you dream or plan… but what’s the harm with just diving in head first? What’s the worst that could happen?... You might realize you’re human? You might not hit the exact thing you planned for… but at least you’ll be able to look back at it knowing that you DID give it your all.

3. Surround yourself with like minded friends who will support you in reaching for those big things.

These people can help you identify limiting beliefs that you’re placing on yourself. Hold each other accountable to pointing out limiting beliefs in each other and combating them with faith and truth.

Ok, so I’m not telling you that if you just think good things they will come true. I’m not saying that if you just close your eyes and imagine it hard enough…. Then POOF it will appear. Nope. I believe in hard work and God’s power and guidance as much as anyone. But I DO believe that we stop ourselves from reaching as far or as high as we maybe SHOULD be reaching because we are scared. We are scared of failing. We are scared of not knowing how to handle it IF we don’t reach that goal. But should that stop us from trying??

So how about we reach for it anyways and tackle those fears when we get there? Because right now they are just unnecessary worries. Because the truth is that we all fall short now and then… but that’s what community is for! That’s what this place of support was created for.

So what BIG thing can you aim for this week???

Drop a line in the comments below and share it with us! Sharing it with the world is the first step to REALLY going for it.

Always cheering you on!
