My Favorites:

Here are a few of my favorite resources that have helped me grow and scale my business.

Reading or listening to books is one of the cheapest ways to grow your business and your expertise! I try to read 2 books a month and my business has been transformed because of it. Audible is my FAVORITE way to listen to audio books, however, I have heard others like to utilize their public libraries online audio books for this too.

ConvertKit is currently my favorite email marketing platform. It makes it super easy to set up a new form/campaign, send a new broadcast, or set up a wide variety of automation. If you are serious about using email marketing to grow your business then ConvertKit is a great option. If you are just wanting to build a list and not send broadcasts yet, then I would recommend the free MailChimp version (see below).

MailChimp is a great free email marketing option, however I have found it to be quite a bit more complicated than other systems. If you are wanting free, then this is the system for you. If you are wanting easy, then you may want to check out another option. The biggest advantage of MailChimp is that it does plug into your Squarespace website pretty seamlessly.

Acuity Scheduling is one of my favorite tools. It allows me to book calls with prospective clients and current clients with ZERO effort on my part. Once you have a FREE Acuity account set up, you can begin sharing the booking link with people and allow them to book a call or meeting with you at a time that works for both of you. You just set your schedule preferences in your Acuity account and you're good to go! With their $10/month paid plan you can also set multiple schedule types with multiple different schedulers (this is what I use). Another Acuity bonus is that you can link your personal calendar (I use Google Calendar) with Acuity and it will link your scheduled calls to your calendar and it will block off times of other scheduled events in your personal calendar so you never have to worry about being double booked.

I first started using Zoom with my design clients so I could virtually show them their website and designs in real time. However, now that I have used zoom quite a bit more, I have fallen in love with using it for my client calls as well. I work with clients from multiple countries, so this makes it easier than having to worry about phone plans and time zones. Plus, since I use the paid Acuity plan, I can link Zoom to my Acuity scheduler and anytime someone books a client call with me, they are automatically sent a Zoom meeting link from Acuity. Another Zoom advantage is that I can record calls for future references. Zoom is also a GREAT webinar platform and with an additional subscription/add-on, you can even do a screen-shareed livestream through Facebook Live!
